Air Connections : Southampton International Airport is situated on the outskirts of the city and is convenient for the M27 and M3. The airport has its own railway station, Southampton Parkway, which is on the main London line.

The city is located around 65 miles from London Heathrow Airport. There are direct coach services from Heathrow's central bus station to Southampton. There are no direct train services, but a RailAir coach shuttles between Heathrow's terminals and Woking Station, connecting with frequent trains out of London's Waterloo station to Southampton.

The city is situated is around 90 miles from London Gatwick Airport. There are broadly hourly direct train services from Gatwick to Southampton taking two hours. There is also a cheaper but slower indirect coach option by National Express. By private hire motor transport the journey will take around 100 minutes.

# The City Terminal in the Western Docks.

# The Queen Elizabeth II Terminal at the docks is home Cunard's fleet of ships, Fred. Olsen Cruise lines and Carnival UK brands, P&O Cruises and Princess Cruises also use this terminal.

# Ocean Terminal is the newest cruise terminal at the docks. This terminal is located at Dock Gate 4 (Eastern Docks). Used by P&O cruises and Cunard Line.

One of the most popular hotels within close distance of the ship terminals is 3 star rated Novotel Southampton. This modern hotel looks out over the port and is situated in the city centre, nearby the Central Rail Station.

Another popular and cheap place to stay is three star Jurys Inn Southampton. Jurys Inn is located in the city centre overlooking East Park, within easy reach of all port terminals.

Also a very cheap accommodation is low budget 2 star The Star Hotel, situated on High Street. This cheaper hotel is set in a historical part of the city, not far from the Port and the docks, with ferries to the Isle of Wight.
