Disneyland Park in Paris

Do you want to get the ball rolling on next year. Euro 2016 is officially less than a year away. Even if you're already on holiday, that football ticket is at home, and there's no time like the present to start thinking about next year's hotels and accommodation for that glorious jaunt to footballing France.

Online, UEFA have an interactive map available for each city, and a brief run down of tourist information, touching on food, football and history. It doesn't offer anything specific on hotels or accommodation, but it's a good introduction to the area of France your Euro 2016 trip will take you. You should get a few ideas of what to do outside of that special 90 minutes. Importantly, it also links you to specific stadiums, so you can plot routes to the games in advance, avoiding any last minute disappointments.

You may go there for the football, but you'll come back missing the food. France has a million and one things to speak for it, but the cuisine tops the list. You don't need to book hotels with fancy kitchens and appliances. You can eat out, and save.

Most restaurants in France display their menus outside, and you'll see the prices of all bistros before you take a seat. I recommend getting off the beaten track before tucking in though, everything is more expensive near a tourist trap, so expect anything near the Euro 2016 stadiums to cost a fair bit.
