THE SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon - October 2018

The main event is the SSE Airtricity Marathon, run over one lap of a flat course. The start and finish points are close to the city center, with the start on Fitzwilliam Upper Street, and the finish in Merrion Square North.

From the start contestants cross the city, run around the university, and through historic Phoenix Park. Competitors register at the Dublin EXPO in Ballsbridge, which has great transport links with the city and airport. The marathon takes runners through and past Trinity College, Herbert Park, St Stephens Green and Phoenix Park.

There are plenty of hotels and accommodation options near the EXPO.

Start Line and Finish Line area

The race starts at Fitzwilliam Square East on Fitzwilliam Street Upper. The finish line is at Mount Street Lower near Merrion Square.

Wave 1 starts at 9am, Wave 2 at 9.10am and Wave 3 at 9:20am.
